How did “Ze German” get into film & storytelling?
Growing up in Düsseldorf and without the money for a camera, “Ze German” would play video games as a way to screen capture and edit his stories together on his laptop. Anything’s possible in a video game - the camera can follow the first person shooter or fly through the air as Mario explores new worlds. This limitless “carte blance” is apparent is his work. He treads together animation, vfx, design and camera moves that make his VFX supervisor’s smirk.
